In addition to our volunteers, Abbey Farms also employs a year round staff.  This core team is responsible for the day to day operations as well as the long range planning and strategic development of Abbey Farms. Below you will find a brief bio on our team members.  We hope you stop by and visit!

Adam Voirin, LEED A.P., Director of Operations

Adam graduated Ball State with a degree in Landscape Architecture. Adam is also an alumni of Marmion Academy and he could not be more excited to rejoin the Marmion Family.  Having worked in the industry for 10+ years Adam’s speciality includes long range planning, design, horticulture and marketing. Adam is in charge of the day to day operations as well as the lead for long range coordination and strategic planning for Abbey Farms with the team.  Stop on by or give him a call, he is looking forward to meeting you!

Fr. Damien Daprai OSB

Father Damien was an essential part of our team.  Everyone on the farm feels his absence since his passing the summer of 2010.  We will always remember Father Damien for his laugher, his light attitude and his wanting to work with his hands to better Marmion!

Fr. Phillip Kremer OSB

Father Phillip has been a critical member of the team since Father Andrew and Father Bede stepped aside a few years back.  Though Father Phillip no longer runs the tree farm, he is a vital member to the success and health of the trees, ensuring that every tree receives the proper attention!

Abbot John Brahill OSB, Marmion Abbey Liaison

Abbot John Brahill, O.S.B. is a 1967 graduate of Marmion Academy.  A member of Marmion Abbey since 1978, Father John served as as a teacher and administrator at Marmion Academy from 1982 to 1991.  From 1992 until January of 2009 Father John served as a member of Marmion’s Guatemala Mission.  He has recently joined the Abbey Farms team as Abbey Liason.  In this position he will assist the Director of Operations and the rest of the team in coordinating the work of Abbey Farms with that of Marmion Abbey and Marmion Academy.

Br. Sebastian Switalski OSB

Quiet and behind the scenes, Br. Sebastian is one of the hardest working monks on the farm.  From mowing, tree trimming and selling, he is an essential person to the success of the farm.

Br. Peter Spence OSB

You might see Brother Peter our on the tractor around the farm.  Brother Peter is in charge of keeping the grass short in the fields!  Long grass equals competition for the trees, and we don’t want that!  If you see him out and about, be sure to wave or say hi!
